On July 19th, 2024, on the eve of the La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival. The streets open up to pedestrians only and the Hillsboro Downtown Partnership and the Downtown businesses team up to bring you a block party that makes you want to dance in the streets. This year's music line up features Truck Stop Gucci, making their Hillsboro public debut. They will be serenating the night air with hits from the 60s all the way up to today's favorites. Walk the streets of Downtown Hillsboro with your drink, partake in the activities or shop till your heart's content. This is a free event. You must be 21 or older to drink alcohol. HDP looks forward to seeing you in Downtown Hillsboro.
HISTORY
Many years ago, on the eve of Celebrate Hillsboro (now La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival), the City's grandest event, Downtown businesses recognized a golden opportunity and seized it. With the streets slated for closure in preparation for the festivities, they conceived a brilliant idea: why not create their own event within the walkable blocks freed up by the street closures? Thus, the Downtown Block Party was born—a vibrant occasion brimming with live music, extended business hours, and a warm invitation to the community. We take great pride in presenting this cherished tradition, and we're thrilled to announce that Block Party is back on July 19th, 2024!

Hillsboro Downtown Partnership introduces Truck Stop Gucci making their Hillsboro public debut. This dynamic group of musicians will make your heart stop as they fill downtown Hillsboro with the sounds of classic rock and soul songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and today's hits. They will make you want to dance in the streets, which you can because the streets are closed to automobile traffic!
ACTIVITIES
PARKING: There is plenty of street parking Downtown after the workforce goes home for the evening. A sure bet, is one of the City lots off of 2nd Avenue. They are located:
BUSINESS PARTICIPATION: As many businesses as are able will be open in the street closure area along Main and 3rd. Some other Downtown businesses from outside of the street closure will also have extended hours. If you are a business and would like to support the event, email [email protected].
