Hillsboro Downtown Partnership is seeking volunteers to assist with the annual Holly Days celebration. All abilities are welcome to assist. Volunteers must be 16 and older unless chaperoned by a guardian. Sign up Link

Hillsboro's Holiday Tree Story

This year, Holiday Tree sponsors including HWY Heavy Hauling will harvest this year's Holiday Tree, and truck it to the Hillsboro Civic Plaza for installation. This towering beauty will be parading down Main Street in Downtown Hillsboro on November 13, 2026 and Santa may even be there to preside over the installation. The tree will make its way down Main Street on Friday, November 13, between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, on its journey to its new holiday home at Civic Plaza.

Once it arrives, the tree will receive its full Holiday Glam Up, sponsored by the City of Hillsboro and decorated by the Hillsboro Downtown Partnership.

A Tradition for Hillsboro Families

Celebrate the season at the annual Hillsboro Holly Days Celebration in Historic Downtown on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Artisans showcase their best handmade work at this bustling market, while carolers, live music, and activities for all ages abound.

Downtown merchants will also be open for business with a variety of in-shop activities and promotions.

The streets will be full of holiday cheer and excitement leading up to the awe-inspiring tree lighting at 6:00 pm.

North Pole at Hart Theatre

Santa will be at the North Pole at HART again this year. Wander down 2nd Avenue toward Washington Street, you will find Santa and Friends for a picture taking opportunity with the man himself. Dress up and get your Christmas Card pics here!

Check off those items on our list as you meander through the dozens of Downtown retailers and local artisans that have their wares on display. You will be able to find a gift to wrap up for everyone. Holly Days Entertainment

We are excited to welcome back live outdoor performances to this year’s Cultural Arts District Stage. A lineup of talented local musicians will share the warmth and goodwill of the season through a diverse lineup of live performance on the Plaza. The tree lighting (at 6:00 pm) will be followed by a sing-along led by Hillsboro’s own Oregon Chorale.

Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

A tradition in the Civic Center Plaza, since it was built as our community living room almost two decades ago, a locally sourced evergreen will be lit up and decked out as our community’s holiday tree. The Mayor of the City of Hillsboro will be leading us in a countdown to switch on the lights, with a little help from Santa and friends.
