Dia do Choro: A Celebration of Brazilian Music

Hear the vibrant rhythms, beautiful sounds, and seductive melodies of Brazil performed by world-class Northwest ensembles, Duo Becar, Duo Adriana Giordano & Jasnam Daya Singh, and Choro da Alegria. Delight in the energetic and exciting rhythms as the music takes you through a sampling of the rich musical traditions of samba, choro, and bossa nova. Music by such legendary choro composers as Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim, Ernesto Nazareth, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and more will take center stage for an evening that will have you dancing out of your seat.

As a recipient of a City of Hillsboro Performance Series Grant, the proceeds from this performance go directly to the performers, with a portion going to the Oregon Chorale.
