Community Science Tree Inventory
Calling all tree enthusiasts! We are looking for some help piloting a community science effort to create a Downtown Tree Inventory.
Our Pacific University Student Intern has been hard at work creating a system for tracking all of the trees in Downtown right from your smart phone. In the next phase of this project, we need your help! We are looking for volunteers ranging from tree experts to tree enthusiasts to those who are simply interested in learning more.
We would like 10-15 individuals to join us in trying out this new technology and offering some feedback for improvements. We will also be working on some tree ID to start adding some valuable data to our inventory.
Come prepared to walk the streets of Downtown rain or shine with your smart phone and your fellow tree nerds!
