Tauraro Film Festival

Celebrating 6 years of Two Spirit, Black and Globally Indigenous films from outside the binary. Tauraro Film Fest of Global Indigenous films shares independent shorts and select features  from a variety of genres with a special showcase of pacific northwest talent. Artists from Tauraro's residency will reveal films completed during their residency from the prior years. All are welcome! 

Taking place August 1st, 2026 from 7-9pm at The Vault Theater in Hillsboro, Oregon, Tauraro Festival is the West Coast's longest running film festival screening films from, for and by the Black Indigenous and Native, Two Spirit, Trans and Queer experience.

Tauraro is a film festival prioritizing Black Indigenous and Native Two Spirit, GNC, trans and queer film and media making. We accept all genres including animation and accept all film lengths but prioritize shorts in our programming.

Tauraro Is A 501c3 Focused On Media, Data and Art As Social Service and Spectacle. We Strengthen Community By Creative Media-Making, Uncovering Our Heritages, Making Sustainable Contributions To Archives & Providing Opportunities To Learn New Skills and Protect Our Cultures Through Documentation and Archivist Practice. We Boost and Provide Resources for the Westside QTBIPOC, the greater Portland, Oregon Area And Beyond.
