The 2021 Spooktacular Downtown saw costumed cuties aplenty!

The 2021 Spooktacular Downtown event, part of the Saturday Hillsboro Farmers’ Market, took place October 30th. All ages and their hounds enjoyed the bright sunny day with many free activities. Filling the air was live music by youth musicians and scary story time with local performers. 450 goodie bags donated and prepared by community volunteers were handed out to costumed trick-or-treaters parading the Civic Center Plaza. The good times continued with a spooky scavenger hunt, robotics demonstration by the Glencoe High School Robotics Team, fresh apple give-away, a Halloween/Fall themed photo booth for selfies, and a bewebbed Hillsboro Police car. 

We at HDP along with our fellow organizers at Washington County Democrats, Hillsboro Police Department, Bach2Rock Tanasbourne, Bag&Baggage Productions, Hillsboro American Legion, Hillsboro Optimists, & Farmers Insurance in Downtown had loads of fun putting on this event and want to thank the community for joining us for fiendish fun. Big thanks also to Hillsboro Farmers’ Market for giving us space for our offerings. We are already looking forward to a 2022 event that will bring even more monstrous merrymaking to Downtown Hillsboro!
