Halloween in Downtown 2024 Huge Success!
A Spooktacular Success: Downtown Hillsboro’s Trick-or-Treat Event Brings the Community Together
This year’s Downtown Hillsboro Trick-or-Treat event was a resounding success, drawing families, young trick-or-treaters, and community members of all ages to the heart of the city for an afternoon filled with fun, festive activities, and a whole lot of candy!
A Community Celebration
The event saw thousands of people pouring into the downtown area, all eager to enjoy the festive atmosphere. HDP and local businesses worked together to create an exciting, safe, and engaging experience for the families who participated. The event was designed to promote both the holiday spirit and the thriving local economy, as well as offer a safe and welcoming space for kids to enjoy the timeless tradition of trick-or-treating.
From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the community wandered the streets, trick-or-treating the local booths and listening to live music playing through the streets and some live performances from the local dance studio.
A Safe, Family-Friendly Environment
Safety was a top priority for organizers, and the event was designed with families in mind. Several blocks of Main Street were closed to traffic, making it easy for pedestrians to stroll freely and for children to safely cross the streets between Booths.
Looking Ahead to Next Year
After such a fantastic turnout, the future of Downtown Hillsboro’s Trick-or-Treat event looks brighter than ever. Plans are already underway to make next year’s celebration even bigger and better, with new activities and more businesses involved.
