This morning, the Hillsboro Downtown Partnership celebrated the grand opening of Beyond the Wall Climbing Gym, Hillsboro’s very first climbing gym, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Wake Up Washington County hosted by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce! Located in the heart of downtown Hillsboro, Beyond the Wall is the perfect place for both beginners and seasoned climbers to get active and have fun. With over 5,200 square feet of climbing surfaces, the gym offers a variety of bouldering routes ranging from 10 to 15 feet high, including a full arch and three canyons for all skill levels. Whether you're looking to climb for fitness or fun, there's something for everyone! Here’s what you can expect from this exciting new space:

Beginner-friendly routes designed for those just starting their climbing journey
Advanced climbing features, including adjustable boards like the Kilter and Tension 2, offering endless challenges
A separate learning center to help you improve your climbing skills
A training area with hang boards for strength and conditioning
A cozy retail section with climbing gear, apparel, and snacks
A dedicated event space perfect for parties or team-building events

Beyond the Wall also offers great membership options, including day passes, punch passes, and monthly memberships, so you can enjoy unlimited climbing or explore a more flexible schedule.
